Network for digitalization in infrastructure and mobility

The mobility of the future is data-driven and collaborative – how do we create value together?

Developments in ITS, digitalization and AI are advancing rapidly, creating many opportunities for transport infrastructure and road safety—along with new challenges. To support this transition, Drive Sweden and InfraSweden have established a Network for Digitalization in Infrastructure and Mobility. The first meeting was held digitally in November 2025, and the second meeting will take place physically in Gothenburg on May 12.

This meeting is themed The ITS of the future is here – how do we create benefits together. As new basic infrastructure is rolled out, enabling a new generation of digital services, the focus is on how we can jointly maximize the benefits these services offer. We will explore opportunities for municipalities, road authorities, entrepreneurs and other stakeholders in infrastructure and mobility.

During the day, we will hear about the Swedish Transport Administration’s work to establish this infrastructure, as well as several projects that have developed services based on it. The services discussed include Road Works Warning, Traffic Signal Priority and Emergency Vehicle Approaching. We will also hear about similar initiatives in Finland and the Netherlands. The program includes time for discussions and workshops on how actors in the ecosystem can best move forward together.

The event will be held in English.
